Cooling System

view from the bottom

Radiator is in the rear. Cooling fans were donated by a front drive Cadillac. Using a Chrysler cooling fan switch from a "K" car because it turns the main fan on at a lower temperature and is mounted in the intake manifold. The secondary fan is turned on by an aftermarket control with the capulary tube in the radiator for added cooling. Both fans turn on when the air conditioning comprssor is engaged. Did you know if you shut off the engine with the fan running it stays running until the fan stops spining? The motor became a generator. Easily solved by using a relay to turn on the fans.
The most common question is "Does it over heat". Only when I drive at speeds over 70mph for an extended period of time. I am still working on this and will keep you posted. Thus far I have built an enclosure for the radiator
